Overview

Comprehensive test suite for LeanSpec's core specs management CLI commands. See TEST_SUMMARY.md for detailed results.

Goal

Establish confidence in core functionality through automated testing covering:

• Spec creation, updating, and archiving
• Frontmatter parsing and validation
• Spec loading, filtering, and querying
• End-to-end integration workflows

Results

✅ 61 tests passing across 4 test files

• commands.test.ts (19 tests)
• frontmatter.test.ts (23 tests)
• spec-loader.test.ts (14 tests)
• integration.test.ts (5 tests)

Coverage Highlights

• 84.53% - frontmatter.ts (parsing & validation)
• 88.60% - spec-loader.ts (loading & querying)
• 97.82% - test-helpers.ts (test utilities)

Implementation

Created comprehensive test infrastructure:

• vitest.config.ts - Testing framework configuration
• src/test-helpers.ts - Reusable test utilities
• Isolated test environments with automatic cleanup
• Real file system testing for confidence
• Integration tests for complete workflows
